Pimp My Blog is a brand new service being offered by Everton Blair and the readers of the Connected Internet blog. It involves registering at their forums and submitting your own blog along with some required information. Each week a blog is picked up from that list (in order of submission) and reviewed by Blair himself as well as the readers of the forum.
They offer some really insightful tips on topics such as building traffic to your blog, link building, optimisation of your template as well as placement of your ads. They also provide thoughts on any other goals that you care to enlist.
To get your site considered for the review, you’ve to provide the following details:
- Your name
- The url site you would like to submit
- Current Page Rank
- Average daily visitors/page views
- What areas you would like to focus on e.g. link building, increasing CTR, ad placement, affiliate schemes, template optimisation etc
- Any other goals
Think of this as getting a concrete, no-nonsense review & advice from some big tech-gurus in conjunction with feedback from general readers – all for free. To “Pimp” your blog, simply visit their forum and enlist yourself in the “Pimp My Blog” thread.
Incidentally, I found this service through Thilak’s blog, TechBuzz. So all due credits to him.
